Drew was a co-founder at Novell and was the principle architect and developer of the NetWare operating system. Drew is credited with inventing the Local Area Network and pioneering computer network technologies that have become the backbone of every computerized industry.
His work helped grow Novell to an international software powerhouse, raising Novell to become one of Utah’s largest and most successful employers and spawning the Utah County tech boom that solidified our footing as one of the hottest tech-producing markets in the world.
Drew has gone on to grow industry success in Move Networks and many other projects that continue to challenge current thinking and raise the bar on the expectations of network computing.
Please join UVEF in recognition of Drew’s work, contribution to our community, and continued excellence as we induct him into our UVEF Hall of Fame.
The evening will be emcee’d by David Bradford, who served as Novell’s senior counsel and worked closely with Drew from the earliest years of Novell; David is sure to share some personal insight and interesting stories as he relates Novell’s early experiences through the eyes of the legal team tasked with protecting Drew’s work in a highly competitive atmosphere.
